After experiencing the amazing power of Reflexology, I felt strongly drawn to learning how to practice it. I completed training in 2006 at the Precision School of Reflexology in Devon and did further training in Reflexology for Cancer Care at the Christie Hospital in Manchester. I am fully qualified in Anatomy & Physiology and a member of the Association of Reflexologists.
With Reflexology different points on the feet correspond to different areas of the body.
You only need to remove your shoes and socks and by applying light pressure to the reflex points, the body is encouraged to balance and heal itself.
I work fairly gently and believe giving the body a gentle nudge has a better effect than causing stress and pain.
After your treatment you will be encouraged to stay hydrated and take it easy, preserving your renewed energy, allowing the body to settle and giving time and space to heal. You will usually feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
Reflexology has a cumulative effect so it works best with regular treatments. I will often recommend weekly or 2-weekly sessions to start, then after a period of time spreading them out slightly, and for best results continuing on a regular maintenance basis to keep your body and mind balanced.
Reflexology treats the whole person rather than symptoms being presented, honouring our inner knowing and allowing the body to naturally heal itself.
I have had great results treating
- hormonal imbalances
- anxiety
- headaches and migraines
- menopause
- sleep issues
- fertility
- pain
- auto-immune conditions
- skin conditions
- fibromyalgia
- general stress and tension
